Denham House is set in the peaceful countryside of North Devon, in the small hamlet of North Buckland which is only one and half miles from the nearest beach of Putsborough. It is close to lots of family attractions including the magnificent surfing beaches at Croyde and Saunton Sands. It is also within 3 miles of Woolacombe. Braunton is only 5 miles away, with the main town of Barnstaple just 8 miles.
We are about 50 miles from junction 27 of the M5. Take the A361 Barnstaple to Ilfracombe road. Go straight through the villages of Braunton and Knowle, then take the second turning on the left. It is signposted to North Buckland but the sign is directly on the turning. You will cross the old railway line, then negotiate a tight corner between a farmhouse and a tractor shed. The lane rises very steeply until you emerge at the top with North Buckland in view amidst the fields.
Alternatively, turn left at the traffic lights in Braunton, and follow this road through Saunton and Croyde. There is a stunning view of the bay this way. Go through Croyde to the next village of Georgeham. In Georgeham, take the first right after the village store (Rock Hill), go past the Rock Inn, and follow this lane for about a mile to North Buckland.
